STATS--- In his first two starts in his rookie season he pitched two complete games, which is really good for any pitcher. He has 37 wins and 21 losses in his short career of three years. LIFE STATS: Dontrelle has pitched in 59 games, winning 24 of them, losing 17. He has 281 strike outs and a 3.70 ERA. TEAM HISTORY--- He graduated from Encinal High School in Alameda, played minor league ball with the Chicago Cubs, and was traded to the Marlins soon after. He went from AA ball to the majors, skipping AAA league. COLLEGE: He was drafted right out of high school, but before that was name California High School Player of the Year in 2000. PERSONAL REMARKS: I like this player because he grew up in Oakland, California, and he's a good pitcher. He made the All Stars this year (2005). He's a two time All Star, and Rookie of Year in 2003. |
