A Tribute and THANKS
To Father Gregoire (a few of the stanzas read at the reunion)
"Tempus fugit et non comebackibus"
was the just needed stimulus
to get us through another day,
making Latin class much more fun
when taught in this playful way.
Though Gregs (to us) was in control
he never bruised or shamed our souls,
though saddled Dean of Discipline,
(A wise young man at thirty-two)
He seemed much older with hair so thin.
And now, almost in a heaving sigh, forty years have gone good-bye,
yet our memories alone still thrive.
"The child is father of the man" and
lucky were we to have survived
and had him with us way back then:
our teacher, mentor, to many, friend.
Thank you, Father Paul Gregoire,
for walking with us once again,
a chance to even up the score.

THANKS TO ALL WHO
MADE
OUR MINI REUNION A SUCCESS
THANKS to Larry Percell again
for the use of his parish's wonderful facilities, And to
Steve Essig, for the memorabilia and the great DVDs of the
three movies produced at SJS.
THANKS
to the individual who donated a frequent flyer ticket to fly Father
Gregoire here from Manchester, NH. Father told me hereally had a great
time, and although he missed the final dinner at St.Pat's, he couldn't
stop talking about how great it was to meet with us at St.Nicholas' and
later to attend mass and meet so many other former students at St. Pat's.
THANKS to my wife,
Patricia Barile, for her invaluable advice, work, and
support in organizing and putting on this reunion. Without
her help and attention to details this gathering would have
never been as nice as it was.
THANKS for the ladies (Patricia, Gwen Neary, and
Chris Chiosso) for working in the kitchen, and guy helpers
with the cooking.
And finally, THANKS
to all of you who set aside the time and made the effort to
attend this event. Let us continue to keep in contact, by
e-mail if nothing else.
