Circling on the old SJS campus in what is now Rancho San Antonio County Park, Sandy and Mike Stuhf, Dave Donovan, Buz Miesel, and Steve Essig listen intently as Dave Bishop (far right) tells the story of his life's new purpose. I wish I could have been there to hear him tell about it in person.  Chiosso's there somewhere, maybe behind Pop Rock's Rock, a plaque honoring SJS. Patricia and I researched the area and Maryknoll some months before.
Dave  tells about the organization he founded ten years ago to help young women suceed in life,  Pathways to Independence.

I read the book  about the lives of the young women in Dave's program and its successes over the last ten years. Truly amazing.

pauls.house Mike Huvane and Dave at Paul Page's place in San Jose the night before the picnic at Rancho San Antonio.  (Notice the pipe organ in the background.)
dave.meghan  Meghan, Dave's adoptive daughter and a member in his program for young women, joined us for dinner, cheerfully put up with us old codgers, and took the best group shot ever. She studied all day for a sociology test and missed the picnic.
Buz Miesel with his first grandchild, a girl, a photo I received after the gathering. Congrats, young man!
