BIOGRAPHY
James W. Bledsoe
James W. Bledsoe has 40 years experience in International business. His
responsibilities included determining what impact the U.S. trade
legislation had on exporters, representing the company on government
trade issues, establishing an Export Management System that complied
with U.S. Export Administration Regulations, and developing and
administering all export licensing functions for DOC, DOE, DOS (ITAR),
and OFAC.
As Director of Export Administration, Mr. Bledsoe was responsible for
establishing Internal Control Procedures for all domestic and
international subsidiaries and branches, auditing the various company
locations to be sure they were in compliance with the procedures,
establishing training modules for each of the key locations, and
coordinating all international documentation requirement with the
various countries.
Mr. Bledsoe held many responsible positions, which included
International Financial Profit Planning Manager, International Customer
Service Manager, Manager of Marketing Administration, Manager of
Materials, Director of International Operations, and Director of Export
Administration.
He received his bachelor's degree from San Jose State University and
his master's degree from San Francisco State University. Secretary of
Commerce, Malcolm Baldridge, appointed him to the Northern California
District Export Council in 1986 and all subsequent Secretaries of
Commerce extended his appointment.
He is a member of the Export Control Committee of the
American Electronics Association, the Society for International
Affairs, the Western International Trade Group, the Santa Clara World Trade Association,
and local trade organizations.
